Gylen Castle’s CEO and Founder, Tom McDougal, spoke to an attentive audience on the topic of selling solutions to the healthcare industry as part of Birmingham’s Innovation Week. Gylen Castle is proud to have participated in an event that supports and encourages innovation and entrepreneurship in Birmingham.

Attendees listened as McDougal covered what it takes to effectively sell a solution to the healthcare industry and how to “Sell to the Pain.” McDougal speaks from his experience as a healthcare CEO and healthcare technology entrepreneur. McDougal brings a unique perspective due to his experience with both sides of the healthcare sales equation. He understands and knows firsthand the challenges that keep healthcare executives up at night. Additionally, he understands the perspective of selling a solution to the healthcare industry.

John O’Neil, who is also a former hospital CEO, joined Tom for a panel discussion. Like McDougal, O’Neil has past experience as a hospital executive and current experience as an executive in a healthcare technology company, Vincari. O’Neil is Vincari’s Executive VP of Strategy and Business Development. Both McDougal and O’Neil shared their unique insights into the problems that hospital executives face and how those challenges impact the process of selling to the healthcare industry.
