Tom McDougal
In early 2013, McDougal left hospital executive leadership to begin a new career as a healthcare serial entrepreneur. McDougal is the Founder and CEO of Gylen Castle LLC, the premier advisory sales strategy firm to serve companies that sell services and products to hospitals and health systems. In 2015, McDougal founded AlternaVisit LLC, a software-as-a-service solution provider to radically improve physician office efficiency. McDougal also serves as Managing Partner for Kerrera LLC, a healthcare venture company.
McDougal holds a Doctor of Science degree in Health Services Administration in addition to Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees. In 1991, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the renowned Brock School of Business at Samford University, where he now serves as an Adjunct Faculty Professor. McDougal was also recently appointed as an Adjunct Faculty Professor in the School of Public Health at Samford University where he teaches graduate and undergraduate students in Healthcare Economics, and Healthcare Management.
